Rich tributes were paid to Veteran Freedom Fighter, Captain Lakshmi Sehgal here on Tuesday. CPM Party member Mr. T. S. Prakash has organized this program at Sundarayya Bhavan in Kakinada. According to this, Party District Secretary Mr. Dhadala Subbarao had participated in this program as a chief guest and offered garlands to the statue of Captain Lakshmi Sehgal. Speaking on this, Lakshmi Sehgal was professionally a Doctor but still she fought tirelessly for freedom by associating with great leader Netaji Subash Chandra Bose to give independence to the country. Sehgal joined in Communist Party of India (Marxist) in her last years and represented the party in the Rajya Sabha. Mr. Subbarao said, the party should be always proud of her. CPM Leaders T. Savitri, Ch. Ajay Kumar, P. Veerababu, Baby Rani, Srinivas, Veeralakshmi, Chandra, Durga, Satya Kumari and others were participated in the program.
