Vice Chancellor of JNTU Mr. Tulasi Ram Das has inaugurated Reverse Osmosis based water purification plant in JNTU kakinada premises. This plant is established with a revenue of about Rs. 3.5 lakhs. VC said that this plant can purify and supply 2000 liters of water per hour. This purified water will be supplied with tins to various departments, he added. This plant pumps water present under a depth of 310 feet, purifies and supplies, he added. He said very soon they will provide a cooler to this plant. He also said that they are planning to install two more plants like this in future to supply water for three boys and girls hostels. Registar E.V Prasad, Rectar Dr. Satya Prasad, Principal Padma Raju, Director Prasad Raju and several others participated in this programme.
