State Buildings and Construction workers council has organised a huge rally continued by a strike under the control of AITUC. They demanded to implement the law created for them in the year 1996. Yesterday a rally was conducted from Kokila center to District labour Office demanding to collect extra money for the constructions above ten thousand and to provide pension schemes to the workers with that money and continued strike on the same. On this occasion union president Mr.T.Govinda Raju said that workers have not received any welfare schemes, even when state building and construction workers welfare association is formed five years ago. Several workers came on for not getting any support due to scarcity in supply of sand, he added. President Mr.P.Satyanarayana, Chief Secretary Mr. Stayanarayana Rao, Thokala Prasad, N.Venkateswara Rao, Bhanu Prasad and other participated in this agitation. Later they submitted request letter with demands to District Labour Office Commissioner Mr.J.S.S.Prasad.
