President of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), Mr. D. Srinivas, on Thursday, assured the rain-affected people that relief would be provided to each family that was affected by the natural calamity. He said that the Party President Sonia Gandhi asked him to visit the affected areas, as she was worried about victims. Launching his district tour from here, Mr. Srinivas, along with Panchayat Raj Minister, Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana and Social Welfare Minister, Mr. Pilli Subhash Chandrabose visited the low-lying areas behind Ambedkar Bhavan and interacted with the public. He later proceeded towards Atchyutapuram, Indrapalem and I. Polavaram before entering Ambajipet. During his brief interaction with the victims, Mr. Srinivas said that the State Government was already disbursing help in the form of free distribution of rice and kerosene. Speaking to media persons, he made it clear that it was not possible for the party to provide help to the victims, as the number was very high. He visited Razole before leaving for West Godavari District.
