Collector in Minority Welfare Day

District Collector, Mr. M.Ravi Chandra advised Muslim minorities to build up financially and socially.  Collector, here on Thursday, participated as the chief guest in the Minorities Welfare Day celebrations at Macca Madina Shaadi Khana, J.Ramaraopeta. Minorities Welfare Day was celebrated on the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Muhiyuddin Ahmed, an Indian Muslim scholar and a senior political leader of the Indian independence movement. Participating as the chief guest, Collector offered garland to Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad’s picture and paid tribute. Later, Collector presented scholarships to the Urdu Medium Students. Chairman of Macca Masid Committee, Mr. Akbar Hussain Khan, who presided over this function, appealed collector to provide high school for Urdu medium students after primary education. He also complained about the roads and drainages, which are in very awful situation during downpour. In this program, District Revenue Officer Mr. S.Venkatarao, District Minority Corporation Executive Director Mr. Mohammed Akram Ali, District Waqf Board Committee Vice President Mr. Abdul Basheeruddin, Lawyer Mr. S.K Mohiddin, Shadi Khana Secretary Mr.Khaja Mohiddin, Deputy Inspector of Schools Mr. Abdul Hak and Mr. Abdul Khaddus and others participated.
