The Honourable VII additional sessions judge of East Godavari division at Kakinada sentenced Kanteti Vara Prasad to undergo life imprisonment and fine for murdering his good friend Gummadi Siva Kishore. As per the prosecution led by specially appointed A.P.P. Sri M.B. Durga Prasad, Vara Prasad and Siva Kishore who belong to Ramarao peta, kakinada and were friends. Vara Prasad loved Udhyaana in the year 2008 and as their parents did not accept for their marriage, they got married in a temple at Jagannadhapuram with the help of their friends including Siva Kishore. Later Vara Prasad developed suspicion on Siva Kishore and Udhyaana and also felt that his wife is keeping him away because of Siva Kishore. Therefore he bore grudge against Siva Kishore and on 22-06-2009 Vara Prasad attacked Siva Kishore with an iron rod and bet him on head with an intention to kill him. He also caused injuries to other friends during that course, who tried to stop him. On the next day Siva Kishore died in hospital due to these severe injuries. Later Vara Prasad was arrested and the case was investigated by SI Ahmed Ali and CI Ch. Ravi Kanth. As the case was proved beyond reasonable doubt the Court delivered the above verdict.
