Sanitation workers from the Kakinada Municipal Corporation swung into action to clean the muddy lanes and sprinkle bleaching powder along the roads. Similarly, the process of enumeration and distribution of rice and kerosene coupons was also launched in the city, along with other parts of the district. Rainwater was receding from Venkateswara Nagar Colony, Jagannaickpur, Dummulapeta, Ragampeta and surrounding areas, where the sanitation program was launched in the afternoon. Medical teams as well began visiting the houses with required medicines. The slum areas turned into center of activity with several teams visiting the areas for enumeration, sanitation and conducting medical check ups.
