A lorry passed into the shops located in the Jagannaickpur junction which usually a constant crowded place. Local persons and merchants ran in panic due to sudden shock. The lorry with load of corn reached Kakinada port from Vijayawada on Monday. It started to Godown near Kovvuru Road via Jagannaickpur bridge. While cross the bridge down, the bus lost its control and passed into the shops located opposite to the Yanam bus stand. In this accident, Panshop, Gayathri Tours & Travels, two tea hotels, Winding shops were destructed. Two motor cycles and one bicycle were also destroyed in this incident. 1 town police station SI Mr. Lakshman Reddy stated that lorry driver was in alcohol and therefore he lost control during driving. Lorry drivers said that due to deficiency in oil in lorry, the steering was stopped.
