Joint Collector, Mr. A. Babu called upon Kakinada people to switch off lights voluntarily for one hour from 8:30 to 9:30pm on 31st March. He released the 'Earth Hour 2012' poster here at his own chamber at Collectorate on Tuesday night. Earth Hour-2012 is being conducted in association with WWF, Nyros Technologies, Godavari Chamber of Commerce, Inkakinada.com and Kakinada Municipal Corporation. Speaking on this, JC stated that the main motto of Earth Hour is to create awareness among people on how to be responsible and show gratitude towards environment. This event of switching off lights voluntarily is being conducted every year on last Saturday of March month, he added. Speaking on this, CEO of Nyros Technologies Mr. Mangalampalli Pavan Kumar said that Earth hour program will be conducted on Saturday night by switching off lights for one hour. More than 5000 candles are being distributed to college students, he added. He called upon to switch off lights and light candles during that one hour. Joint Collector appreciated Nyros Technologies, Godavari Chamber of Commerce and Kakinada Municipal Corporation on conducting this event.
