Voter registrations which were commenced from 5th of October this year will conclude at evening 5pm this Sunday.  According to the schedule released by the Election Commission, last date for voter id registration is 23rd of November. However, due to heavy floods and cyclones, very few applications were received. Due to this, as political leaders suggested, Election Commission has extended to another 12 days i.e. up to 5th December. Voters whose age is 18 yrs till January 1st, 2010 are eligible to register. Of 19 constituencies across the District, around 3,901 polling stations of which 2,187 are designated centers were arranged. For registering newly Forum-6, for removal from the list Forum-7 and for modifications Forum-8 has been arranged. As of now, total 26,653 voters across the District had newly registered in Forum-6, at the same time as 1913 applications of removal from the list has been submitted at Forum-7. Reckoning newly registered voters, it is 1950 voters until now.
