The Kakinada Beach Festival ended here on Sunday with a storm. On the last day, hundreds of people gathered in the beach to lend a ear to their favourite singers from the Tollywood. Stamps & Registrations Minister Mr. Thota Narasimham, Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad and Rural MLA Mr. Kanna Babu were presided over the conclusion program here. Public enjoyed the electric performance by the famous Music Director Mr. Koti, singers Geeta Madhuri, Sai Shilpa and many others. Meanwhile, comedy masters Mr. Gautam Raju, Kota Sankar Rao and some other performed comedy skits here. The stalls on the beach turned a major attraction for the visitors. Apart from selling delicious food, clothes, accessories and regional crafts, there were also special outlets selling jewellery and traditional puppets made of goat skin. A few stalls offering fortune games invited people to try their luck, while a special carousel did the rounds with laughing children the whole day. There are minor set-back such as improper parking arrangement, insufficient seating arrangement and absence of canopy to keep out the blaring sun. A part from these, the three days have been very eventful for the people of Kakinada and nearby places, who have all joined the merriment at the beach. Flowers & Fruits exhibitions are really amazing in this fest and make the fest beautiful. Overall, the festival reflected the culture & heritage of the district.
