Mr. Gogineni Vijay Kumar from 3rd Battalion Commandant has been nominated for the most honourable Indian Police Medal. He was nominated for this award for his valuable services. Total 682 members received this medal in the whole country, in this list 24 members belong to our state. Vijay Kumar is the one and only person who received this medal from our District. From 1989-94 he worked as a special security officer for Chief Minister. He worked for Mr. N. T. Rama Rao and even Chandra Babu Naidu when they were Chief Ministers. Till now he received nearly 30 awards from different fields. He is going to receive this award next year on 26th of Januvary from the hands of President of India. Additional Commandants, APSP staff and all the higher officials in the district congradulated him.
