Kakinada 100.1 Mghz FM Radio was started here on Sunday. According to the sources, Union Minister of Human Resources Development (HRD) Mr. M. M. Pallam Raju has inaugurated the FM Relay Radio Station at Doordarshan office premises in Salipeta, Kakinada. Later, he participated in a program organised by the All India Radio Station, at Surya Kalamandir in Kakinada. All the Radio station artists have performed various songs in this program. Speaking on this, he stated that 'I wish the station will give good entertainment as well as knowledge to the public'. He said, the station is here to give service to around 4 Lakh people within 15km distance from Kakinada. The relay station will receive the All India Radio Station Hyderabad programs through DTH, he added. District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad, Peddapuram MLA Mr. Pantham Gandhi Mohan, RDO Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru, Ex-Minister Mr. Koppana Mohana Rao, Mr. Dommeti Venkateswarulu, Mr. Nalukurthi Venkateswara Rao, Mr. Lakkaraju Seshu Kumari, Mr. Badam Madhava Rao, Mr. Kommireddy Sri Rama Narasinga Rao and others were participated in the program.
