Andhra Pradesh Open School Society (APOSS) released results of around 50,000 students on Friday who appeared in the SSC Examination conducted during April – May in this year. As per these results, East Godavari District achieved state-level 19th place, it slightly improved its position with a percentage of 40.18 in SSC-2011. In the district, 1,690 students cleared the examinations out of 4,206 students and secured a pass percentage of 40.18. Student from the district, Penkey Mahalakshmi scored 399 marks out of 500 marks and achieved 9th rank in the examinations. Compared to the previous year results, it is a slight improvement for the district. According to the news line, APOSS is the initiative of the state government to bring back the dropouts to school and set the high standards for the literacy rate in state and if the participation of the students were further encouraged, the desired results will achieve with excellence.
