Kakinada, Nov 7th: Andhra Pradesh Open School Society has taken up a decision for direct 10th from open schools. Open school Director K.Anand Kishore has sent the notice to the Headmasters belonging to different school here on Friday.
Director speaking on the occasion said that they have taken the decision for the children living in slums who work as daily labor and unable to go to school. This is the best opportunity for them to be educated.
Children above age of 14 are eligible for this course and certificate will be issued from the Board of Secondary Education once they are through the exam. The course comprises of five regular and one vocational subject. Applications will be issued from 13th of this month.
Application fee will be 50/- and admission fee of 600 will be collected towards the course from SC, ST and BC students. Entrance exam will be conducted on October 2009 and the applicants are allowed to write the exam for 9 times once the fee is paid.
Director conducted awareness program to the teacher regarding the new course and asked every one to work hard for the success of the new venture. He asked the students and children to utilize the facilities to uplift their life.
