Corruption has increased in Income Tax department. They are filling their pockets with Government money. IT officer Mr. P. Venkateswara Rao looks after the income tax returns of business orgaisations in some mandals. Private financer Medapati Srinivasa Reddy is one of the clients of Mr. Venkateswara Rao and was required to some amount to income tax department. Mr. M. Srivasa Reddy complained to Visakhapatnam CBI that Mr. P. Venkateswara Rao demanded him to pay Rs. 80 Lakhs against IT returns and on request he confined te amout to Rs. 65 Lakhs and Monday was decided as dead line to pay this amount. He not only pressurised me but also torched me to pay the whole amount, he added. CBI DIG Mr. G. Nageswara Rao has taken up this case, he appointed DSP Mr. S. D. Misra to investigate on this case. DSP along with other CI's all together attacked on IT officer with the help of the victim and arrested him as the crime done by him was proven. Public accused that in the same way many higher officials are indulged in different kinds of corruption.
