The Crop loss effect by Neelam Cyclone, would be compensate to farmers before 9th of May 2013, announced by the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad. Yesterday, she has conducted a video conference along with Joint Collector Mr. A. Babu with RDO's, Mandal Level officers from Collectorate in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she said. Rs. 167 Crores would be given to the farmers as Neelam cyclone input subsidy in the District. Bank accounts should be provided for all the 3.5 Lakh Farmers, who lost their crop fields due to Neelam Cyclone effect in the District, she ordered. She said, a total 75 thousand members of Tenant Farmers are benefited on receiving Loan Eligibility Cards (LEC), and she also ordered the officials to provide these LEC cards for newly registered another 15 thousand tenant farmers in the District. She said, till now Rs. 40 crores of loans were provided to the tenant farmers and it is required to develop this figure to Rs. 100 Crores before the Khariff season, she noticed. Government has sanctioned 94 thousand individual personal bathrooms to the District, but only 16 thousand were completed till now in the District, she said. For this, she ordered the officials not to assign the bathrooms construction works to the contractors.
