Children's Day was Celebrated

Children's Day, the day which falls on November 14th every year in India, on the Birthday of India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, has celebrated grandly here on Wednesday. Various Cultural & Sports competitions have been conducted to the students on this occassion in all the schools in the city. According to the sources, the day was grandly celebrated at Mc Laurin High School with various competitions and social activities. RDO Mr. G. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Dy DEO Mr. Nageswara Rao, Red Cross District Chairman Mr. Durga Raju, School Principal Mr. Sudhakar and Teachers were attended for this program. MLA Mr. Dwarampudi Chandra Shekar Reddy, has stated that the education is the only thing which will be with us for ever n ever. He has participated as the chief guest to the program, which have been arranged on this occasion at Durga Prasad Residential school at Jagannaickpur in Kakinada. Students of Ravindra Bharati School, Kakinada has donated Rs. 78,363/- to Helpage India Foundation (Hyderabad). According to this, School Principal K. Urvasi had released a press note. M.S.N I-Techno school students have designed various fashion clothes in different models and exhibited on this occassion. Many more schools like Aditya, Sri Chaitanya, Pragati, Dr. KKR's Gowtham concept school and so on are celebrated the day grandly here. Lions club also celebrated the day with school students. Similarly, Government schools like Mother Teresa Municipal School, Government Public Welfare Ashrama School, Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Municpal High School, Salipeta Girls High school, Gandhinagar Municipal High School, etc., schools in Kakinada were conducted various cultural programs on the day.
