Board of studies meeting that was organized by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTU-K) concluded here on Saturday. Vice-Chancellor of Simhapuri University C.S. Visweswara Rao started the discussions on the second day. While participating he said that the syllabus prepared by the JNTU-K for the first year of engineering studies was of great use to the students. He said that the syllabus would serve multiple purposes in the future. Participating in this program, JNTU Vice chancellor Prof.Allam apparao said that priority was given to information technology, as the government is also focusing on setting up IT Parks in tier-II cities. Speaking to the media persons, Mr. Appa Rao said that international university courses like nuclear energy, petrochemical, petroleum technology, food process, sports medicines, technological writing and other international courses will be introduced. He said that government will provide 70,000 Crs for IT exports and job opportunities will be acquired for 5 Lakh unemployed people. Dr.K.Satya Prasad, Nannaya University former VC Neerupa rani, JNTU Registrar Ravindra and others participated.
