The 2-day all India bank employees strike was concluded, here on Tuesday. All the private, nationalized & foreign banks in the district were remain closed on these days due to this strike. All the bank employees boycott their duties and participated in the strike. As a result of the strike, commercial transactions, foreign exchange operations and clearing of cheques were take a big hit on these two days. A total 1200 Cr rupees transactions were stopped during this strike period. The employees with support of United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) staged protests at Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Amalapuram and all other major areas in the district. The employees observed the strike by demanding immediate revision in their wages since November 2012.
