East Godavari District Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) workers union demanded Government to recognise them as government employees here on Sunday. Asha workers union district general body meetings were held here at the City Office in Kakinada. Introducing the resolutions in the meetings, they said that government should increase the wages of Asha workers on the basis of hike in prices of essential commodities. Workers elected K.Krishnaveni as new President and P.Anantha Lakshmi as new General Secretary for the district union in the meeting.
