AP NGOs 2-days Strike Started

AP Non Gazetted Officers Association had announced the Strike for Seemandhra region for two days, ie., 13th & 14th of August, against to the decision of Andhra Pradesh State bifurcation. The association submitted advance notice to state government for the strike. The strike started from Monday midnight. Nearly 4 Lakh of AP Employees participating in this strike from the state. They were mainly demanding for the Seemandhra MPs, MLAs and State & Central Ministers resignations in speakers format. According to the sources, here the clearly details of the strike.

The services of District Collectorate, Revenue divisions, 60 Tahsildar offices and all other government offices will be stopped in these two days in support of Samaikyandhra bandh. Starting from Office subordinate to Gazetted officer level, all the employees will participate in the strike.

Around 4,235 RTC employees from 9 depos in the district, were participating in this strike. This will effect RTC services and nearly 970 buses will not be run in the district in these two days.

Services of 1000 Panchayat's from the district will be stopped in these two days, in support of the strike. A total 58 Mandal Parishad offices will be closed.

Kakinada & Rajahmundry Municipalities will remain closed in these two days. A total 3500 Municipal employees were participating in the strike.

Banks will not be worked in these two days. ATMs also be closed in these days. Educational Institutions & all other offices will be closed.

Strike will not be effect the Emergency services like Medical, Water and Electricity in the district. Also it will not effect the Rail transportation, sources said.
