All the arrangement were made for the 3-days Kakinada Vakalapudi Beach Festival, announced by the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad. According to this, she has conducted a press meet here on Thursday at Collectorate in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she had explained the details of the arrangement, which were made for this beach fest. She said, this festival celebrations were to be held under the supervision of Rural MLA Mr. Kurasala Kannababu. Central Minister Mr. M.M.Pallam Raju, State Ministers Mr. Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy and Mr. Thota Narasimham will inaugurate this festival celebrations, she announced. The state government has released funds of Rs.12 lakhs and some industries provided funds of Rs.32 lakhs for this festival. Also those industries assured for other Rs.14 lakhs funds for these celebrations, she said. This festival is being celebrated with a motto to show the district as one of the tourist spot in the state but not for just fun, she stated. As a part of the festival, a 5K run is being conducted on the first day of this event, she announced. This run will start from District Sports Grounds in Kakinada on 11th of this month. Photography & Videography competitions will be conducted as a part of this festival, she added.
