Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officers made sudden raid on Sub Registrar Office here on Thursday. Few of the Lekharis and mediators tried to leave the office due to the sudden raid. However, ACB officers did not allow them to leave. They made through checking until evening 4pm. They took 23 Lekharis and 3 other private staff into custody for investigation. Illegal amount of Rs.60,000/- was possessed from them. Sub Registrar-1 S.Pullaya, Sub Registrar-2 MV Jeevan Babu, Chits Registrar V.Krishna Kumari were on duty on Thursday. On receiving information that Lekhari’s and mediators are collecting bribe, they made this sudden raid.
