District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has ordered the officials to arrange 24hrs Control Rooms at all the Municipalities and Assembly constituency centers in the district, in view of the coming Municipal & General elections. Yesterday, she has conducted a video conference meet with the election returning officers in the district from her chamber in the Collectorate, Kakinada. Speaking on this, she has noticed that the officials should pay attention on nominations which are received for Municipal elections in the district. The preparation of ballet papers, photo voter slips and postal ballet papers should be done fast and perfect, she said. Voter slips should be provided for all the voters by 20th of this month by conducting door-to-door campaign, she ordered. She has also discussed about EVM's and other arrangements for the elections. Later, she has announced that they have arranged a monitoring cell with control room numbers in the Collectorate. She said, Toll free no's 1077 & 1800 425 3077 will work for 24hours during the election period to receive complaints from the public regarding any issue related to elections.
