The movie "Priya Priyatama" is a remake of the Tamil movie Kanden Kadhalai, which actually is the remake of the hit Hindi Blockbuster, "Jab We Met". Bharath and Tamannaah play the lead pair. The story is about how two strangers, who meet each other on a train journey and later how their lives are changed. The character of the two strangers are played by Bharath and Tamannah. Bharath plays the role of a the son of a business tycoon who is shattered in life and has no hope to live. He meets Tamannah, a bubbly and cheerful girl whose only dream is to elope with her boy friend as her family would not agree to her love marriage. She brings Bharath home to introduce him as her friend. However, things turn into a confusion and it gives an impression to the family that these two are in love. Then follows a series of events which are full of a combination of comedy, emotion, romance, friendship and family values. How things come to a normal situation is the crux of the movie.
