The State Election Commission has announced that the elections for Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTC) and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTC) will be held on two phases. The first phase will be on 6th of April and second phase on 8th of April. According to this, the commission has called upon the district authorities to receive the nominations from 17th of March, ie., Today. As per the commission, the last date to receive the nominations is 20th of March. These elections were conducted for 57 ZPTC posts and 1042 MPTC posts in our district. The district election authorities have started recruiting ROs & AROs for the conduct of these elections. Meanwhile, the state election commission has appointed two IAS officers to the district for the observation of these elections here.
