Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of East Godavari district, was caught by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000/- at his office in Kakinada, on Monday. Sources said, the CEO demanded Rs.40,000/- bribe from Mummidivaram water project management Contractor Muparthi Dharma Rao, who contacted him for Rs.6 Lakhs bill. The contractor given information to ACB officials on this. With a perfect plan, the ACB officials caught the CEO while accepting the bribe of Rs.30,000/- as a first phase of payment from the contractor. The ACB officials team led by the ACB DSP Mr. Venkateswara Rao conducted this raid. They were doing investigation on this.
