Kakinada, March 19th: Zero Randomization process of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM’s) that are going to be used in the fore coming Assembly and Parliament elections was started on Thursday. East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi has initiated the program at the local port godowns. Various political party representatives attended the program.
Speaking on the occasion collector said that nearly 9,700 EVM’s were required for conducting polls in the district. The total includes 10 per cent of reserve machines. Out of this total 790 machines were required for demonstration at various constituencies in the district. He revealed that same were already sent to the concerned constituencies. He also revealed that first phase of zero randomization of the remaining machines will be completed by March 22 and will be sent to all constituencies in advance.
Joint collector, Mr. Kona Sasidhar, DRO M. Mohan Raju, RDO Kishore Kumar and various party representatives were along with collector.
