YSR to take oath ...

Hyderabad, May 19th: Dr. Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy is going to take oath as chief minister for the second term on Wednesday evening at Lal Bahadur Stadium. He was re-elected as leader of Congress Legislature party on Tuesday evening. Reddy will be the only minister to take oath today. His council of ministers will swore in two days later, according to sources.

Reddy will submit the list of ministers for the approval of the congress president, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi after taking oath as chief minister. Sources said that Dr. Reddy and his aid, Dr K.V.P Ramachandra Rao have already finalized the list of ministers. YSR is likely to retain most of his previous ministers but 14 of them lost their mandate this time. YSR may expand his cabinet from 34 to 40 and likely to rewards more ministerial posts to Telangana.

The selection of suitable person for speaker post is found to be tough this time since there are 130 members in the opposition. It is expected that a leader from Telangana would be made speaker to maintain the balance of power. There is talk that a three-time MLA, Mr. P. Kista Reddy or Mr. Satrucherla Vijayarama Raju may be considered for the post.
