The famous literature expert and poet, Janakijani (79) took his last breathe here on Sunday at private hospital, Kakinada. Janakijani was born on 26th March,1932 at Vasanthavada, West Godavari District. His real name was Samavedam Janakirama Sastry. He worked as Head of English department in Rangaraya Medical College and PR College and retired in the year 1990. His lectures on literature and moral in national and international level made him famous. He also wrote various stories, short stories, volumes and books. Initially, his drama ‘Pashani’ was presented in Akashavani. He also received awards for Jwesta Literacy, Desiraju Ramachandrarao Memorial Award (America) in the year 2000.
