World Red Cross Day is observed on May 8 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Jane Henry Dunant, founder of the Red Cross Movement. It was organized at premises of East Godavari Red Cross Society, Kakinada this Saturday. On this occasion, Secretary of East Godavari unit Dr.Durga Raju, Dr.Badam Bala Krishna and others offered garland to the photograph of Founder of Red Cross. Later, a blood donation camp was organized by the Sreya Foundation in association with TV5. Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy inaugurated the camp.
