World Red Cross Day was celebrated here on Tuesday in order to mark the Birth Anniversary of Red Cross Founder, Dr. John Henry Dunant. According to this, District Collector, Ms. Neethu Kumari Prasad had lighten the lamp (Jyothiprajwalana) and paid floral tributes to the statue of Red Cross Founder, Dr. John Henry Dunant at the Red Cross society office in Kakinada. She participated in the blood donation camp conducted by the Lions Club at Red Cross blood bank. Later, Red Cross society members distributed bread to patients at Government General Hospital, Kakinada. Red Cross District Secretary Dr. P.Durga Raju, Treasurer Mr. Madhava swamy, Committee members Dr. Aaluri Vijayalakshmi, Dr. Badam Balakrishna, Lawyers Mr. Ramgopal, Mr. Jyothula Sitarama Murthy, A.O Mr. Siva Kumar and others presided over the program.
