Students of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTU-K) took out a peace rally in the city to mark the World Peace Day here on Tuesday. Vice-Chancellor of JNTU-K Prof. Allam Appa Rao flagged-off the rally. Registrar Mr. V. Ravindra and other officials were present. World Peace Day was also observed on the premises of Mc Laurin High School. Participants took an oath to mark the occasion. Participating as the chief guest, District Collector, Mr. M. Ravi Chandra stressed the need for participation of every individual for the cause of world peace. District officials and representatives of various service organizations were present. At a program held at Aditya Public School at Srinagar, teachers and students took the oath on world peace.
