The World Health Day 2013 was observed here on Sunday in Kakinada. According to this, the District Medical & Health Department officials conducted a program here at DM & HO office in Kakinada. Additional Joint Collector Mr. B. Ramarao has presided over the program as the Cheif Guest. He flagged off the rally, which was conducted by the DM & HO staff and Nursing students for the awareness of public on health. Speaking on this, Mr. Ramarao has stated 'Health is Wealth', 'if we have good health then we have everything in our life', he said. Public should avoid fast foods to protect their health from obesity, he added. Later, DM & HO Mrs. Padmavathi has stated that people should be aware about what to eat and what not to eat, so that they can protect their health. She called the public to make the surroundings clean and healthy. Additional DM & HO Dr. Pavan Kumar, TB Control Officer Dr. Prasanna Kumar, DIO Dr. Murali Krishna, Dr. Sasikala, Media Officer Mr. Prasad Raju, Mr. Surya Chandra Rao, other staff and huge number of Nursing students participated in the rally.
