Kakinada, April 7th: On the occasion of world health day, awareness rally was organized in the town on Tuesday. District medical and health officer, Dr. D.Vijay Kumar waved off the flag and initiated the program. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Kumar revealed the importance of health and discussed on various eating habits, need of nutrition food and others which help a child to grow into a healthy adult. He advised the pregnant women’s to take healthy food to avoid any kind of complications during and after pregnency. He said that with good and healthy eating habits all sorts of contagious diseases can be avoided.
In this occasion he advised the medical staff and doctors to bring awareness among the people living in villages and rural areas about the various diseases and the measures to be taken to avoid the same by organizing more number of awareness camps. The rally started from District Medical and Health Office (DMHO) and proceeded towards Balacheruvu, Masjid Center, Mainroad and Jagannaickpur. Medical & Health officers, nursing students and others took part in the rally.
