Kakinada Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Directorate of Empowerment of Women & Grievances organized a one-day workshop & interactive session on the topic "Women Empowerment Thro’ awareness on health, hygiene and nutrition" here on Tuesday. The motto of the workshop is to create awareness on women Health, Hygiene & Nutritious food in students. JNTU-K Vice Chancellor, Mr. Allam Apparao presided over the workshop as a chief guest. Speaking on this, he stated that every woman should observe the changes in teenage. He also stated that University is going to write a book about the changes in teenage to all the Engineering final year students. Dr. Alluri Vijaya Lakshmi said that now a day’s most of the students are being attracted to foreign culture, which is spoiling their careers. Therefore, every parent should take care about his or her children during teenage. Director Smt. I.Santhi Prabha said that 250 students of 179 Engineering colleges from eight districts participated in this workshop. Later, Retired Rangaraya Gynecologist Prof. S.Jagadeeswari explained through a PowerPoint presentation about the changes in women’s health with change in age. Dr. Alluri Vijaya Lakshmi & Dr. Jagadeeswari and others were felicitated. After that, Prof. Allam Apparao released the book written by Dr. Alluri Vijaya Lakshmi about teenage girl’s health. According to this, JNTU-K Rector Mr. K.Satya Prasad, Directors Mr. G.V.R.Prasad Raju, Mr. Padma Raju, Mr. Prabhakar Rao, Mr. E.V.Prasad, Mr. K.Purnaanandham, V.S.Lakshmi College Principal V.Sandhya and others participated.
