Kakinada, Sep 24th: Under the chairmanship of East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi, a work shop on swine flu awareness was organized by the district medical and health department at the collectorate here on Thursday. Addressing the workshop, Collector urged DMHO to play a supportive role in dealing with swine flu related ailments. He said that thankfully the district had no positive cases of the disease till now.
He added that swine flu tablets were available in required quantities and asked people not to hesitate to approach hospitals if it have symptoms like body pains or cough, as the disease was listed in the Arogyasri Scheme. He appealed to the media and the press to play an effective role in forwarding the message about swine flu among the rural people. The superintendent of police, Mr Y. Nagi Reddy, the zilla parishad chairman, Mr. Ch. Venugopal Krishna, the DMHO, D. Vijay Kumar and other officials were present.
