Kakinada, Jan 27th: A one day workshop on Interface of Statistics with technological research was organized by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada and University of California, on the JNTU-K premises here on Wednesday. Participating as the chief guest on the occasion, Professor of University of California, S.R Jammalamadaka said that statistics plays a crucial role in research and it helps the research for giving an authentic and more informative output from the research.
The Vice chancellor of JNTU-K, Prof Allam Apparao said that statistics is the science of making effective use of numerical data relating to groups of individuals or experiments. It deals with the collection, analysis and interpretation of such data.
