Workshop for women

Kakinada, July 10th: A two day workshop on research initiatives for women was inaugurated on Friday at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. The program is being organized jointly by JNTU, Kakinada and the Centre for Equal Opportunities for Women, under the Women Scientist Scheme (WOS) taken up by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

 

Several eminent personalities across the country attended the workshop.These include Dr. Sneh Anand, chairperson, Center for Biomedical Engineering, IIT, New Delhi, Dr. Sathy Chandrasekhar, Clays and Clay Mineral Division, Regional Research Laboratory, Tiruvanantapuram, Prof. K Rajarajeswari, ECE department, Visakhapatnam, Dr. H.B Singh, department of Science and Technology, Dr. Yogesh M.Desai, department of Civil Engineering, IIT, Mumbai and others.

 

Prof Allam Apparao, vice-chancellor of JNTU, Kakinada, delivered the keynote address at the inaugural program on the university premises on Friday. Staff and students form various affiliated colleges attended the inaugural program.
