Power of Women (P.O.W) Association District Committee conducted a meeting on occasion of International Women's Day here on Monday at Gandhi Bhavan in Kakinada. State Secretary Member of CPI (ML), P.Taanya presided over the meeting as a chief guest. The aim of the meeting is to analyze the progress of achievements by the women in recent years and the problems facing by the women. Speaking on this, Taanya stated that most of the working women are facing all kinds of harassments from the men in recent times, so that Government of India needs to pass a bill against these actions in the parliament to protect women. She also demanded Government to stop the works in Thermal Power Plant and to close the illegal cases on poor people. According to this, District P.O.W Teachers D.Venkata Lakshmi & K.Prasanna, District I.F.T.U Main Secretary Mr. J.Venkateswarulu, M.Satyaveni and other I.F.T.U Leaders are participated.
