“Women researchers role in Nation development” program was conducted at JNTU, Kakinada this Friday. Retired secretary of department of Bio-technology and Padma Bhushan, Dr.Manju Sarma participated as chief guest in this program. This program was organized by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University - Kakinada and Society for Promotion of Integrated Coastal and Allied Areas Management. While participating Manju Sarma said that India needs more women researchers and for that women should come forward to do more research, especially in bio-technology field, she added. Vice chancellor of JNTU-K Prof. Allam Apparao said that in future knowledge in Bio-Technology is very essential for human life. Society president Dr.T.Rajyalakshmi,University Technical department Director Dr.Prabhakar Rao, Women Associative Director Dr.Santhi Prabha also participated in this program and explained about the importance of Bio-Technology. In this occasion, Dr.Prabhakar Rao and Dr.Santhi Prabha grandly felicitated Dr.Manju Sarma.
