District Collector, Mr. M. Ravi Chandra stated that sports contributes in making free from regular work stress. He participated in the inaugural function of Pykah State Level Women Hockey Competitions in association with District Sports Council here on Saturday. Additional Joint Collector, Mr. B.Ramarao supervised this program. Speaking on this, Collector stated that with the help of sports, one could be healthy both physically and mentally. He also appreciated on conducting State Level Competitions in our own city Kakinada. Later, sports women from various districts saluted District Collector and Hockey Coach Mr. Ravi Raju offered salute. More than 250 sports women from 16 districts attended to participate in this two days competition. Collector presented the Hockey kits and played hockey after inaugural. In this program, RDD Chinnaya, DSDO SV Ramana, Olympic Association President, Secretaries YD Ramarao, Padmanabham, Ideal College Correspondent Smt. Chiranjeevini Kumari, Hockey Association Representatives Jayanth Kumar, Satyanaryaana, JNTU PD Syam Kumar were present.
