Kakinada, April 7th: Several candidates from both East and West Godavari districts withdrew their nomination on the first day of withdrawal of nominations. In East Godavari district Mr. Pandu Ashok kumar who filed his nomination for Amalpuram parliamentary constituency withdrew his nomination on Tuesday. Eight more candidates contesting for assembly segments withdrew their nominations due to various reasons. They include R. Jaisingh from Anaparthy, T. Padmaja and V. Simhachalam from Prathipadu, K. Suryanarayana and P. Durga Bhavaniram from Peddapuram, B. Ananda Leela and Nalli Mohanrao from Rajole and Kamala Devi from Kothapeta.
In West Godavari district nine candidates from assembly segments withdrew their nominations. They include K.Gopalan from Achanta, P. Satyanvani and V. Janaki from Bhimavaram, P. Venkata Satyanarayana from Tanuku, A. Radha Krishna and Ch. Padmavathi from Dendulur, A. Chinnabbai and B. Venkata Rambabu from Polavaram and M. Adbutha Rao from Chinthalapudi
