'Wildlife Protection Week Celebrations' were grandly inaugurated here on Thursday, at M.S.N.Charities Aided High School in Kakinada. United National Development Project (UNDP) and Igri Foundation have jointly organised these celebrations here. The program was held under the chairmanship of the School Head Master Mr. Kesari Srinivasa Rao. UNDP Biologist Dr. P. Satya Selvam has presided over the program as the Chief Guest. Speaking on this, he said everyone is responsible to love, care & protect the birds and all other wildlife animals. Later, they have conducted various competitions like quiz, painting, elocution & essay writing for the students. A total of 384 students from 32 government & private schools in the District have participated in these competitions. National Green Core Resource Person Mr. Sathi Venkata Reddy and M.S.N Charities Degree College Professor D. Padmavathi presided over the program and presented awards to the winners of these competitions.
