Warn to take severe action

Kakinada, Mar 2nd: Kakinada city MLA, Dwarampudi Chandra Shekar Reddy warned to take severe action against the ration depot dealers for illegal supply of ration to black markets. A meeting was organized with the dealers, officials and city corporators at Zilla Parishad meeting hall here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Reddy said that they have received few complaints about the misbehavior of dealers with the women and warned to take action if the behavior is not changed. He said that the dealers are black marketing the ration with our distributing to the eligible card holders. He warned to cancel the license of the dealers if they find any irregularities in the ration supply.

Few of the corporators complained that the ration depots with numbers 82, 94, 101, 111 were not running properly and the people in the concerned areas are facing problems due to delay in supply. Responding to this MLA said that complaints boxes will be arranged at the ration depots, thasildhar offices and RDO offices so that the people can directly complaint about their problems. He revealed that in the latest survey 5851 bogus cards were identified and the ration for the same was stopped. Kakinada mayor K. Saroja, DM, P. Venkata Lakshmi and others participated.
