Three visually challenged students were beaten up mercilessly by their school correspondent for being naughty and termed as vagrants. The visually challenged Students of Greenfields Residential School at Timmapuram on the city outskirts of Kakinada in East Godavari Dist about were held by hair by the principal and another school official and beaten with cane and by hand for allegedly being 'indiscipline'.The district collector Neetu Kumar Prasad ordered a full probe and the police have arrested the School correspondent K.V.Rao and Principal Srinivasulu for their act of thrashing the blind students - Sai, Surendra and Joseph - on Thursday last for being naughty and unruly in the class. Speaking on this District Collector 'I also saw the visual. It is a heinous crime and the Govt has decided to take over this private school for blind" she said. Angry parents of the children and social activists staged protests in front of the school after the Telugu new channels aired the video clipping of the bizarre incident of the school principal thrashing blind students was sent by allegedly unidentified persons. The footage also showed the principal pushing one of the boys to the wall and was seen assisted by another person in the act. Some of the agitated parents entered the school premises and attacked furniture and man handled the K V Rao and demanded action against the school management.
