Villagers allege in gramsabhas

Kakinada, Feb 23rd: In the exercise aimed at weeding out the multiple and bogus ration cards conducted by the district municipal authorities, villagers belonging to various grampanchyats and municipalities alleged that the names of the eligible persons were missing in the new list. After the completion of the process of weeding out the bogus ration cards a meeting was organized under the supervision of MPDO's and Thasildhars here on Tuesday at various villages. Villagers belonging to Nemam, Panduru, P. Venkatapuram, Thimmapuram, Penumarthy where the gramsabhas were organized, alleged that their lives were throne on to road where they merely depend on the ration that government offer to them every month.

Speaking on the occasion, Kakinada rural MLA, Kurasala Kannababu showed dissatisfaction over the survey were the government canceled the ration cards for the people who had migrated out of villages on a temporary basis. Mr. Babu who was on a visit to Hyderabad inquired through phone about the situation and ordered the Thasildhars and MPDO's to cancel the wrong notices issued to the villagers about canceling the ration to them and ordered for a high command survey.
