District Vigilance & Monitoring Committee Meeting was held here on Thursday at Vidhan Gowtami Hall in Collectorate, Kakinada. The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Mr. M. M. Pallam Raju, Minister of State for Defence. But some agitations had taken place in the meet on Social Pensions distribution. Both ruling & non ruling parties MLA's & MLC's highly grieved about the distribution of social pensions. They said, that there are so many absurdities on pensions distribution in the district. All the MLA's & MLC's highly criticised the DRDA department officials about the social pensions distribution. They accused that the DRDA officials are not doing the distribution directly, as they had given the work to some other private organization, they added. Later, MP Ratna Bhai stated that there is no proper implementation of social pensions distribution in agency areas. The motto of this meet is to review about the departments to which the Central Government will release funds, like Rural Development, House Constructions, Girijan Development, Rajiv Vidya Mission, Rural Water Supply, Panchayati Raj, District Water Management, etc.,. But due to these agitations, officials haven't covered all the departments issues in the meet.
