Vigilance Awareness Week from Nov 3

Hyderabad, Nov 3rd: All government organizations, including PSUs and public sector banks in the state today commenced the Vigilance Awareness Week by administering oath to all its employees. NMDC Limited Director (Commercial) V K Sharma administered the pledge to all its employees in the presence of Functional Directors and NMDC Chief Vigilance Officer. In his welcome address, NMDC Chief Vigilance Officer N V Rajasekhar said all steps had been taken to increase awareness among the users of the services provided by NMDC.

He also briefed about redressal of grievances through online complaint lodging mechanism provided on NMDC Website. He also emphasized that steps had been taken to protect the safety and identity of the whistle blowers who exposed corruption, a press release here said. Meanwhile, Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director R S Reddy also administered the pledge to its staff at the head office. The Central Vigilance Commission had directed all the government organizations in the country to observe the Vigilance Awareness Week from November 3 to 7, 2009.
